The Inventory Control Associate is a vital member of our operations team, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of our inventory system. With a keen eye for detail and a structured approach, this role is central to guaranteeing that our inventory is accurate, organized, and accessible, directly impacting the company's ability to serve its customers effectively and maintain optimal operational efficiency. Beyond the day-to-day responsibilities of inventory management, the Inventory Control Associate collaborates with various departments, from purchasing to sales, providing essential data, insights, and support. Working closely with senior members of the team, the Associate plays a crucial part in upholding DHX's commitment to quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction, while also contributing to strategic inventory-related decisions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize inventory software to track, evaluate, and monitor inventory levels.

  • Perform regular physical inventory counts and reconciliations to ensure system accuracy.

  • Oversee product receiving and stocking processes, ensuring items are stored in appropriate locations and recorded accurately in the system.

  • Coordinate the picking process for outgoing shipments and customer orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

  • Label and identify parts to facilitate easy retrieval and accurate tracking.

  • Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies.

  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to maintain optimal stock levels.

  • Assist in implementing inventory policies and procedures.

  • Provide inventory reports and updates to management as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures in the warehouse.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control or related role.

  • Proficiency in using inventory software systems.

  • Experience in picking, stocking, labeling, and inventory counting procedures.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 

  • Associates degree preferred.

  • Certification in inventory management or related field is a plus.
